2025 Year-End Networking Reception and 2026 General Assembly
Uniting Elite Women, Looking Ahead to a New Year of Growth
Global Federation of Chinese Business Woman Atlanta grandly hosted its 2025 Year-End Networking Reception and 2026 General Assembly on December 28 (Sunday) at the Johns Creek Standard Country Club. We extends special appreciation to Honorary President Ting Chiu, who generously sponsored the venue as a club member, contributing significantly to the event’s smooth and successful execution.

The event welcomed numerous distinguished guests, including Director Mr. Jared (Chu-en) Lin and spouse from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta, Economic Division Director Mr. Thomas Tang, Overseas Community Affairs Center Director Recognize Director Roy Yen, Overseas Community Affairs Council Members Dr. Fu-Tai Lu and Sung C Chang and spouse, Honorary Advisor Arthur Holst, as well as three representatives from the Johns Creek Police Department. The atmosphere was both dignified and warm.
In his remarks, Director Mr. Jared (Chu-en) Lin highly commended the outstanding contributions of women entrepreneurs to economic development and social welfare. He expressed his hope to collaborate closely with the elite women of the GFCBW Atlanta in the future to advance people-to-people diplomacy and strengthen connections between the overseas Chinese community and mainstream society.
Honorary Advisor Arthur Holst, drawing on his extensive experience as a corporate executive, encouraged the GFCBW team to cultivate a unique organizational culture and distinctive leadership by listening to one another, learning together, and deeply understanding members’ needs.
On behalf of the Overseas Community Affairs Council, Director Recognize Director Roy Yen, with Director Mr. Jared (Chu-en) Lin presenting, awarded President Janice Lu a Certificate of Honor for her reappointment, recognizing her exemplary leadership and contributions.


The event was conducted in two phases. The first phase was the General Assembly, during which members were presented with a comprehensive review of the 2025 annual activities and financial report, along with an overview of the 2026 work plan and budget direction. According to the Chapter’s bylaws, Supervisor Chair Ann Peters reported that, following approval by the Supervisory Board and a resolution passed at the General Assembly, Janice Lu was officially reappointed as President of the GFCBW Atlanta for 2026.

During the General Assembly, four new Board Directors were successfully elected: Rita Chao, Peggy Ho, Vivienne Lang, Wen-Lin Chen. Under the leadership of Supervisor Chair Ann Peters, the directors took their oath of office and received their director pins, completing the 2026 Board installation ceremony.
Additionally, five new members—Cindy Wu, Candy Huang, Hui-Fang Cheng, Lie-Chun Huang, Ann-Ping Liu —were formally inducted into the GFCBW Atlanta after taking their oath, and were presented with membership pins and scarves.


President Janice Lu expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the fifth-term (2025) Board of Directors and executive team for their dedication and hard work, as well as to all members for their long-standing support and trust. She also introduced the newly appointed Board and executive team for 2026.
The Chapter specially recognized Supervisor Chair Ann Peters, who has served the Atlanta Chapter for eight years since its founding, and Vice President Lifen Hallo, who has contributed four years of service. Both were presented with heart-shaped trophies in appreciation of their selfless dedication and outstanding contributions.

The second phase of the event featured the year-end networking dinner. Guests enjoyed refined salads and chicken wings prepared by the country club, along with a thoughtfully baked Earl Grey blueberry sponge cake made by member Flora. Decorated in GFCBW’s signature purple and adorned with a golden horse motif, the cake symbolized success, prosperity, and strong momentum for 2026.
Founding President Jackie Chen personally wrote Lunar New Year calligraphy themed for the Year of the Horse and gifted a cherished set of miniature vintage teacups, offering blessings for a sweet, joyful year ahead and wishes of immediate prosperity.

After dinner, an exciting gift exchange activity was co-hosted by Event Chair Peggy Ho and Executive Secretary Sandra Tsai, filling the venue with laughter and lively interaction. Finally, hosts Peggy Ho brought the event to a joyful close with their energetic and engaging presentation, marking a perfect conclusion to the Chapter’s 2025 activities and expressing hopes that the new 2026 team will bring fresh vitality and lead the GFCBW Atlanta Chapter to even greater achievements.
