GFCBW-Atlanta Appoints Rita Chao as First Vice President

At the Board meeting on May 19, 2026, the Global Federation of Chinese Women — Atlanta Chapter (GFCBW-Atlanta) unanimously appointed Ms. Rita Chao (Zhao Huayong) as First Vice President, effective immediately.

Ms. Chao has long been active in the overseas Chinese community and civic groups, with experience in commercial real estate, business management, and public service. She was one of the original founding directors in 2017 and has served as the Atlanta Chapter’s Secretary-General and Vice President. She spent two years working out of state and returned to the Atlanta Chapter in 2025. Ms. Chao has also represented the Atlanta Chapter twice at the global annual meetings and has a solid understanding of the national association’s bylaws and inter-chapter relations. Since joining the chapter she has contributed actively to chapter work and events and is highly regarded by the board.

The First Vice President assists the President, helps unite the team, supports member development, and preserves the organization’s mission. With Ms. Chao on the leadership team, the chapter expects continued growth in member services, community engagement, and organizational vitality.
