On March 8, International Women’s Day, WBBA Atlanta hosted a warm and inspiring afternoon gathering — the “Empowered Women Growth Salon.” This was more than just a seminar; it was a meaningful pause for everyone to slow down, reflect, and realign their life rhythm.

The event took place at the Solis Peachtree Corners Sky Lounge, where the elegant and open space added a sense of ease and lightness to the afternoon. In a relaxed atmosphere, attendees came together to explore how decluttering is not only about organizing physical spaces, but also about reshaping one’s life.

This session featured professional organizer and founder of Shed & Simplify, Rita Chao, who delivered a talk titled “From Within to Your Space: The Transformative Power of Decluttering.” She guided participants to begin with inner awareness, sharing practical examples and touching stories on how to truly implement decluttering in daily life—ultimately leading to a lighter, more confident, and more organized lifestyle. In a fast-changing world, learning to let go can actually help us go further. Many participants shared that the session felt less like a workshop on organization, and more like a lesson on life choices and inner balance.

The event unfolded in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Host Peggy also introduced the concept of “slow decluttering” and led interactive discussions, creating a balance of emotional connection and rational reflection. Many attendees shared their personal experiences and found new inspiration through each other’s stories.

In addition to the enriching session, a delightful afternoon tea was served. Highlights included sandwiches prepared by Sherry from Bread Connection, Taiwanese-style snacks from Jamie’s Kitchen—such as tempura, taro cakes, spring rolls, cheese dumplings, and a comforting white fungus dessert soup. Flora from Dancing Dough specially created taro pudding cake and pineapple cakes to celebrate members with February and March birthdays, adding a heartfelt touch to the event. Other treats included mung bean pastries from Elena and mango pudding from Jackie, along with beverages and a charcuterie board provided by Solis Peachtree Corners. The variety of food made the gathering even more enjoyable and thoughtful.

This Women’s Day salon not only offered insights on decluttering and letting go, but also allowed every participant to leave with a renewed sense of strength and inspiration through connection and companionship.

President Janice Lu expressed special thanks to all the staff who made this event possible: Vice President Ching Ching, Sandra for registration, Vivienne and Steven (from Michelle’s team) for front desk reception, as well as Elena and Rochelle for their support throughout the event. Heartfelt appreciation goes to every team member for their dedication and contribution to a successful event.

Lastly, the venue Solis Peachtree Corners is a beautifully designed community with excellent living amenities. For members interested in exploring the residence, you are welcome to contact Manager Justin to schedule a tour and experience the comfortable and relaxing environment firsthand.
