Trade Exhibition

Global Federation of Chinese Business Women (GFCBW) - Atlanta Chapter held its first trade exhibition at the Standard Club located in the city of Johns Creek, Georgia from 1:00 to 4:30 pm on Saturday,  April 27, 2024 .

This event was based on the mission and task of GFCBW, which are : Envisioning the World, Embracing the Trend, Establishing Networks, and Developing Economy and Trade.

In her opening remarks, President Michelle Jhu said that this trade exhibition is the first since GFCBW-Atlanta’s establishment on August 26, 2017. She expressed her gratitude for everyone's active participation and support, including board members and supervisors, different work groups, and all the members for their collective efforts and participation. She gave special thanks to the Honorary President and Hwaguan Award winner Ms. Ting Chiu’s Awesome Team for sponsoring the venue. She hopes that everyone will continue to support the trade exhibition activities held by the association every year in the future.

Vice President Ms. Alice Stanley was responsible for the coordination of the trade exhibition and functioned as the English liaison at the venue.

Director Mr. Ou Hongwei, Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta, U. S. A. expressed his affirmation and support for GFCBW-Atlanta first trade exhibition in his opening speech.

Thanks to Overseas Chinese Affairs Advisory Committee members Ms. Huang Meimei and her husband and Mr. Ray Wang and his wife, as well as representatives from Monte Jade Science and Technology Association of Taiwan, Chinese-American Education and Professional Association in Southeastern United States , Taipei First Girls High School Alumni Association, Chinese Community Federation of Atlanta, Asian American senior Citizens Association and other groups for attending the event and supporting GFCBW-Atlanta’s first trade exhibition.

In response to the call of the GFCBW headquarters, the Atlanta Chapter supports Taiwan, the Republic of China, in entering the WHO international organization and participating in the meetings of the WHA (World Health Assembly). Participants in the trade exhibition including people from many different communities went outdoors to take a group photo supporting Taiwan’s joining WHA under the banner "Support Taiwan's entry into the WHA” right after the opening ceremony.

The products and services of the exhibition covered: university tutoring, beauty and health, legal consultants, financial and business consulting, real estate services, arts and crafts and handmade soaps, book published by author Dr. Wan-li Ho, Chinese children’s learning  books, world-famous Taiwan Kavalan whiskey, fruits and vegetables wholesalers, vegetarian food, bakery, medical gloves, wagyu beef farm direct sales, crystal feng shui items and potted plants, etc. There were total of twenty-three vendors represented by GFCBW-Atlanta members and non-members. 

During the trade exhibition,  there were three time slots to draw lucky winners of door prizes provided by the vendors. Each vendor would draw the winner to present its unique gifts and used the opportunity to introduce its unique products/gifts.

Coffee, cold drinks and delicious desserts were provided at the site free to all participants. The atmosphere was lively and there was an endless stream of participants coming until the end of the exhibition. This first trade exhibition brought close to two hundred people to the site and ended successfully with positive feedback from the vendors and the participants!
