Approximately 50 participants attended the event, including four Honorary Advisors—Marilyn Margolis, Arthur Holst, and Joseph Hsiao. This year, the chapter was also honored to welcome Dr. Zhida He as an Honorary Medical Advisor.

Director Hung-Wei Ou from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Atlanta expressed his heartfelt support with the words, “I love GFCBW, and GFCBW loves me.” Representatives from numerous Taiwanese American organizations also joined in celebration, including the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce of Atlanta, the Association of Chinese Scholars in the Southeastern U.S., the Chinese Community Center, the Chinese Cultural School, the Taiwanese American Professionals Association, the Gainesville Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce, the Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce, and the World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce (listed alphabetically by organization name).

The inauguration ceremony was overseen by GFCBW Vice President Yueh-Chu Bai and TECO Director Hung-Wei Ou. The leadership baton was officially passed from outgoing 4th President Michelle Jhu to incoming 5th President Janice Lu, who was also presented with the official responsibility chain. She received the certificate of election from GFCBW headquarters and a congratulatory message from OCAC Minister Chia-Ching Hsu. Following that, GFCBW Honorary President Shu-Ying Li presided over the oath-taking of 10 new board members and supervisors, as well as the induction ceremony for two new chapter members.

In her speech, Honorary President Shu-Ying Li shared the spirit and mission of GFCBW. She expressed her gratitude to Founding President Jackie Chen and Huaguan Award recipient Tinglan Chiu for their dedication, praised President Michelle Jhu for her courage in taking up leadership, and acknowledged the strong support of Vice President Feng-Chu Wei. She encouraged all members to continue advancing the growth of the Atlanta Chapter. Vice President Yueh-Chu Bai highlighted the strength of women’s leadership, saying, “Women are a powerful force—they hold up half the sky!” She commended the chapter’s excellent performance in 2024, which was evident to all.

During the second half of the meeting, President Janice Lu delivered the chapter’s 2025 mission statement: “Look to the world, stay grateful, grow with excellence, and ensure sustainable legacy.” Honorary President Michelle Jhu presented a 2024 event review, Treasurer Yu-Min Chang reported on 2024 financial statements, and Chief Supervisor Yen-Chun Yang shared internal board discussion updates. Vice President Chung-Ching Hsia outlined the 2025 annual plan, announcing that the next major event will be the April Business Expo and encouraging both members and non-members to sign up to promote their businesses. Founding President Jackie Chen presented the chapter’s 2025 financial planning.
