During the Lunar New Year season, the Atlanta Chapter of the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women (GFCBW Atlanta) actively participated in a variety of community and overseas Chinese New Year celebrations. Through cultural promotion, food sharing, and calligraphy demonstrations, members introduced traditional Chinese culture to the broader community while showcasing teamwork and dedication to service.

Over three consecutive weekends in February (February 14–15, February 21–22, and February 28–March 1), the Chinese Cultural School and Stone Mountain jointly hosted Lunar New Year cultural promotion events that attracted many visitors. During the events, several GFCBW members took on multiple roles and enthusiastically contributed their time and talents. Honorary President Ting Chiu, in her role as Chair of the Chinese Cultural School Board, presided over the opening ceremony. Board member Ann Peter participated alongside her family. Principal Lin Hsiang-Lan coordinated the overall program, while Vice Principal Ching Hsia oversaw on-site operations. Director Peggy Ho organized a K-pop dance competition. Wu Hsing-Shu managed the Asian wedding attire exhibition hall. Chapter President Janice Lu volunteered at the registration desk and the Night Market. Founding President Jackie Chen also demonstrated calligraphy and held a charity calligraphy sale on site to raise funds for the Chinese Cultural School.

On February 21, GFCBW Atlanta also participated in a Lunar New Year calligraphy event hosted by the City of Johns Creek. The booth was sponsored by the Awesome Foundation, established by Honorary President Ting Chiu. Founding President Jackie Chen demonstrated calligraphy themed around the Year of the Horse and explained the auspicious meanings behind traditional Bingwu Year of the Horse Spring Festival couplets, allowing more members of the local community to appreciate the beauty of Chinese culture.

In addition, during the Lunar New Year Festival held at the Atlanta Chinese Cultural Center from February 21 to 22, GFCBW Atlanta, under the leadership of President Janice Lu, provided full support and operated a booth. Special thanks go to Honorary President Ting Chiu for generously providing the Feng Sheng Foundation booth, allowing GFCBW members to participate together in service and cultural outreach.

The booth featured the culinary specialties of several members, offering a variety of Taiwanese foods and desserts. Popular items included Taiwanese sausage with sticky rice and pork rib bento from Jamie Taiwanese Kitchen, bread and braised pork rice from Dudu’s Happy Bread, as well as beautifully crafted animal-shaped cakes and macarons made by Flora, all of which were warmly received by visitors. Founding President Jackie Chen also assisted with the overall event decorations, overseeing the lantern displays in the main hall, stage area, and tents, adding a festive Lunar New Year atmosphere to the celebration.

GFCBW Atlanta sincerely thanks all participating members. Through this series of Lunar New Year activities, the organization not only strengthened connections within the overseas Chinese community but also helped the broader public gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and traditional festivals. The events highlighted the unity and vitality of the community while bringing the auspicious New Year blessing of “swift success, just like a horse arriving at victory.”
